Although not only the content but whole system is based on XML-technologies you will be practically never be confronted with the XML-tags, which are in general not easily understandable.

The reason: We have configured the editor component which we use in the standard mode in a manner that the structure elements are discernable by their presentation. New elements may be inserted by buttons or out of the context menu. In many instances predefined links allow the fast positioning of typical elements. With it the editor offers only those elements at the relevant position of the Einfügemarke that are allowed by the underlying structure definition. Thus the editor can not create documents which are invalid as far as the structure definition is concerned. No validation followed by a possible checking for faults is necessary. Instead the editor is guided and supported in the production of the document.

The editor may during the editing process have a separate window opened displaying a preview of the document in any output format he chooses.

By the way XML-hardcore editors may activate at any time the XML-tags in arbitrary grades of detail. They can do so, but they do not have to.
