While checking in media like images, graphic presentations, and animations defined converting processes may be applied. For example out of a Photoshop-file several „derivatives“ may be generated for different applications: thumbnails for overviews, RGB-images usable in interactive media or high resolution versions for offset printing. The conversion processes may be configured and compiled via the user interface. The advantage: elaborate calculations for the converting are only performed during checking in and updating and not anew with each media production. Thereby the production of output data is performed extremely fast.
